Meath Roots

Meath Roots, Heritage & History | Introduction & Contact Details

Meath Roots, Heritage and History website is a totally amateur effort and has been totally created by myself.

The Meath Heritage Centre indexed a large amount of the parish registers for County Meath and these are now available on line at https://rootsireland.ie/. There was an ancestry research service but that service has now been terminated. I now have another career and while I am still very interested I cannot devote a large part of my time to answering queries.

I have tried to draw together as many resources as possible that will answer people’s queries and almost all your queries should be answered by this Meath Roots site or linked sites.

A new addition is the inclusion of some graveyard inscriptions, some recorded by myself and others recorded by different people. A countywide recording project would be worthwhile.

Also added  is a museum section, which might eventually lead to a county Meath museum.

Please use the site to find out more about Meath’s genealogy, history and heritage.

If you have anything you would like to add to the site, I am quite happy to put up others works and have them acknowledged. It is by working together that we can make the most of our local history.

My email is: noeltrim@gmail.com Please do not expect replies from this email address, if the answer is in the materials on line. Please also do not email if it is a general query.

Thank you to Rathfeigh Historical Society for their support for this website.
